In 2010, Delta Township and the Delta Side Association decided to partner with each other to offer one great Community Expo event instead of two different events within a month apart from each other. While both events have provided a different emphasis, they both have been about showcasing the great things our community has to offer!
The Greener Delta Expo has primarily been focused on providing education about alternative energy uses, and increasing environmental awareness. The Delta Side Association’s mission has been to provide scholarships to deserving high school seniors while providing a special event that showcases local businesses. Bringing both of these events together provides an opportunity for our community to really shine!
The 2011Community Expo, promoting a Greener Delta event took place on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Waverly High School. There were approximately 2500 attendees and over 75 exhibitors, including “green” exhibitors. The event was a huge success!
