The First Greener Delta Event - 2008

Delta Township, partnered initially with Grand Ledge Public Schools, to establish a community event called “Greener Delta” that promotes the education of students and the general public of the convenient, innovative, greener choices and alternatives for energy use and environmentally conscious lifestyles. Grand Ledge Public Schools developed a particular curriculum that addressed energy-efficiency and environmental impact of the choices that the students and their parents make.

It is the intent of Delta Township to continue working with local schools to address both energy usage and environmental concerns by having students participate in the larger community event with results of their studies along with the presentations by area businesses and exhibitors.
